BCP 45
The BCP 45 was built in 1927 as a table seiner for BC Packers and her image was on the back of the Canadian five dollar bill between 1972 and 1986.  The BCP 45 was also an exhibit at Expo 86 in Vancouver, BC.  After 68 years of service as a salmon seiner, troller, gillnetter, beam trawler and tow-off for the winter herring, the BCP45 now resides where she was restored at the Maritime Heritage Centre in Campbell River, BC.  On September 17th, 2005 the Government of Canada designated the fishing boat BCP45 as a National Historic Site.
I painted her in memory of my Grandfather Robert (Bud) Haines, Great Uncles Dayton and Buford Haines and with great respect to the fishermen that sailed her and the folks that restored her.
